Day 2

Today is somewhat gloomy and chilly, but we were able to walk around a good deal this morning and found that we are close to a street that has many shops that will be useful, including an electronics store. We got a hairdryer since, even with a converter and adaptor, my American one blew an outlet (oops!). We went to the Fullbright office this AM- it is very nice and close by. That's about it for now. So far, we are trying to fight the urge to give in to jet lag and not go back to sleep, yet. It's only 2:30 PM so far.

Great blog...very informative...we appreciate the effort and level of detail you shared as it helps us picture your exciting 'adventure'.

All is well here in Chas. Pop is still in the hospital but seems to be improving physically...still a little confused though.

Nicole is visiting us for a couple weeks and has been a big help this past week in staying with Ginny at night while Basil is away.

We are going tonight to see the TransSiberian Orchestra christmas show to get in the mood of the season.

I can appreciate your frustration with the seating arrangement on International flights...so your comments brought back my own horror memories!

Sounds like you all are settling in well and your environment is very accomodating....this will help alot!

Post some pics of your apartment..we didn't see your earlier pictures...and of your neighborhood when you get a chance! ...and have fun!

Thanks for taking the time to post your blog as we really are enjoying it.
